Through extensive user research, it was discovered that many users felt overwhelmed by the options and responsibility of having sustainable products. There were three main points of frustration that is the convenience of single-use plastic, the overall awareness of the single-use plastics issue and the motivation of the user to actually continue to use the product for its intended purpose after purchase. This research as outlined below helps solidify a meaningful direction for the design and how to ensure the most impact solution where possible.
